What should I do?

A few months back my SO went to there ex's, took cocaine and stayed overnight. It was some month later I found out, and was annoyed but I eventually forgave them. Since then however they have made numerous contacts by phone, claiming the are still wanted by this former violent partner. They say to me it will never happen again. I find this hard to believe but want to trust them 
What should I do?

I would’ve left the moment I found that out simply because I’m not lenient at all or understanding when it comes to cheaters. If I can manage to control myself you should be able to do the same & if you can’t we don’t belong together anyway. Your trust is broken & will probably always be so ultimately this is your choice but living miserably in this relationship due to his mistake isn’t fair to you. Be wise about your choice.

Well I do know I love her (notice I kept the fact I was the male part of the relationship quite ) and She is my best mate but I worry that without trust we will be heading nowhere . I sort of feel like a doormat if I stay with her , but if I don't I'm concerned for her well-being . I'm 20 years old than her and a billion times more sussed and I would suffer a massive guilt complex if I let her return to a life of being used and abused . I want to retain our friendship without the insecurities of our relationship. I honestly have never been a jealous type in my life . Perhaps that's because I have never been with a drop dead gorgeous girl 20 years younger than me . Anyway I'm about to hit her with the results of the poll. So perhaps she can comment next

Its Em. I'm his girl. I treated him like shit. I want him to move on. I'm not even nearly in love with my ex as I was with him. Cocaine isn't an excuse. He dabbles too before anyone judges me about that. I'd have left him a billion per cent. I think I would have anyway. But I love him. I have to try and prove it. Everyone on here is judging without hearing me out. He's my life I'm just a bit fucked up from some past events.
