When to get pregnant?

When do you mommas suggest is a good time to try to get pregnant or have a baby in general. So my husband and I just got married in July and we want to try to get pregnant but because of medical stuff I think it might take some time. Anyway, I’ve heard we should wait until after one or two deployments? I guess I just wanna know if it’s too soon to try?

My husband and I just had our first August 11th. We have been married 3 1/2 years.  We only waited until I was finished with my degree. The number of deployments should have nothing to do with your decision. Go for it when you're  both ready 😊

I had my first about four days before our first deployment. We lived. And we are now pregnant with our second. If you wait for the perfect timing with the military it will never happen.

What? I’ve never heard a non-military female ask this question (unless you were pursuing a healthcare occupation). Just have the baby when you both want!
You having a baby will not impact his career whatsoever. Shoot, we even had babies being born (obviously by the mothers 😂) of dudes who were still going trough training (3 years later. It literally NEVER ends). And dudes getting to come home early from deployment so they could watch their child being born. ANY time is literally the right time in the military. 
The only benefit I can see in weighing the options would of course be the simple— “well, parents can help us when we move back to the US,” etc. 
Bottom line: GIRL. You will be fine! Everything will be fine! Whenever you guys want the baby, you have that dang baby. The military is not such a terrible and trying place to be. And when you ARE faced with trials (because we all are), you guys work through them together. Go have a baby! ❤️

I’m not sure what waiting for deployments would do to prepare you because let me tell you, my husband had been deployed pre child and i was fine. I had a routines and i was working on myself and i was cool about it. 
Post child? Nah. I was not fine. Nothing about previous deployments prepared me for taking care of a whole human by myself on top of the other responsibilities i have to tend to. 
So, although my husband and i chose to have a few selfish years (7 to be exact) that doesn’t make it the right answer. Do you and what works for your relationship.
