To go or to not go

For maybe a week now i’ve been having period like cramps. Some cramps take my breathe away. I also have back pain with these cramps. I called my nurse line to ask about it and see what they have to say & they told me to go to labor & delivery to get checked. But I also feel like I don’t want to feel stupid if its nothing and just get sent home 😐
