Should your husband/partner be with you when you have your IUI?

Husband went with me to our first IUI.  Coming up on our second IUI and don’t feel like he needs to be there (have to work sometimes with all these dr appointments!), but wondering if I’ll regret that decision.

The only thing I need for him to be there for is get his sample then he can go back to work lol his job he can't be gone a long time and he can barely make it to the appointment as is.

It should be Ur decision only. If u need him then ask him. I needed my husband so I asked him to join. Our appointment would be early morning so it didn't affect his work life also. See your convenience. Best of luck n baby dust

I'm soooo new to this so how does your husband's get out of going to your IUI? Does he give his samples at home and you bring it with you?

Mine just wanted to be there so he could say he was present if it worked 🙂

That is a great question. My husband was there for my first IUI because I wanted him to at least be in the room for when I conceived. We are trying timed Intercourse this month and IUI again next month and frankly, I’m not that concerned with him being there for the second one. We have to work to afford this baby we are desperately trying to create

I decided we needed to live our lives during all this, and my husband taking off for every appt and iui wasn’t worth it. But I’m having him come to our embryo transfer; that feels different :)

My partner wasn’t able to come to our IUI. No big deal. She hasn’t been able to come to most ultrasounds either. Also no big deal. People have to work!
