Has anyone gotten their wisdom teeth removed while pregnant?

Question

My right one has came in and its swollen and hurts, but i don’t want to remove it if it’s going to harm my baby. I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant.

My dentist wants me to get all of mine out and said it’s completely safe while pregnant but it just doesn’t sit well with me at all so I’m waiting until after the baby

I guess it depends on if it’s super impacted or not. When I wasn’t pregnant, I got my 3 impacted ones taken out (but they were all partially broken through my gums) with just novocaine. Hearing the cracking and stuff kinda sucked but I did it because I was scared to get put under anesthesia. I know you can get novocaine while pregnant. I have one wisdom tooth left which decided to erupt at the beginning of this pregnancy and it’s also at a wicked messed up angle BUT I just waited for the bad pain to pass and prayed it would. I’m waiting til I’m not pregnant to get put under to get it out since my dentist said it was more “complicated”

I’m in the same boat! I have a letter from my ob saying it’s okay for me to get all 4 of mine out. And the dentist said it’s ok as well. I’m just still worried about the recovery and if my baby will be ok! Mine hurt as well and are growing completely sideways

The only uncomfortable part was watching the doctor take them out, I had lidocaine but that was all and it was scary only because a full grown man was leaning in my mouth. But it all went great and didn’t cause any problems.

All 4 of mine are out, one of them has been hurting a little and it’s making my gum swell next to it, the pain isn’t bad and when it really bothers me I take Tylenol. But I’m scared to take them out while pregnant so I’m hoping to wait until after I have the baby.
