Hi everyone

I had a traumatic birth with my son (1st baby). 30 hour labour, back to back, horrendous pain, ventouse delivery, pretty bad 2nd degree tear (luckily just missed a 3rd degree). That may sound pretty standard but for me I found the experience extremely traumatic and still think back in horror now even 10 months on. My point being, although I’m not currently pregnant, I’m already thinking that I would not want to experience this again and next time would like a more controlled birthing experience.

Anyone in the UK have experience of electing for a csection specifically after a traumatic birth? Was the process difficult? Did you have to battle for it? What’s the process?
