Tattoos before and after pregnancy

Alright ladies, I need stories. I have a hip tattoo that I want to get covered up with a larger colorful tattoo.

I was debating on getting my tattoo covered up after I have kids because I'm worried about it distorting, but I don't want to be looking back on pregnancy and my belly with pictures of this tattoo.

How has pregnancy effected your tattoos?

(Also, no judging please. I've got a lot of tattoos that I love and never plan on covering up, so this is one of many and this is the only one I've got a meh attitude towards.)
