Washing everything?

Question

Are you ladies adamant about washing EVERYTHING? Are you supposed to wash everything little one touches like the swing cover, bouncer cover, boppy’s, etc.? Or do you think it’s okay to wash baby clothes, towels, bedding and call it good? I really don’t want to take everything apart to wash it 🙄 but I will if it’s necessary.

I think it mostly depends on if it’s second hand or not! 
Clothing and bedding a must though!

I wash everything I can but all fabrics are sprayed with antifungals and pesticides before being shipped to stores so I just don’t want my baby touching that stuff.
Even my boppy, crib mattress, etc, I put outside on the nice days before he was born to air out and get chemicals out.

I washed my car seat insert only because it was given to me by a cousin, and I just wanted to make sure it was clean. I didn’t wash the bassinet or swing inserts because they’re brand new. I did wipe over them with a Lysol wipe for good measure though. Lol.

Why is everyone washing everything if it's new? I honestly haven't heard this before so I'm wondering what the rules are.

I’m washing everything that can be washed. Wiping down anything else but I’m anal about things being clean.

I washed everything simply because you never know who returned the item before you got it and lots of stuff has chemicals on it for shipping purposes. Like the clothes we buy from stores, can have formaldehyde and other shit to prevent bugs and stuff. So just better safe for the little babe than anything but completely up to you! Your mama... you make those decisions

Im ocd and anything and everything that he will use or wear has been washed and ill wipe the bigger stuff down till he gets here

I have always wash everything from bedding to swing rocker/bouncer and even the carseat cover well pretty much basically everything my baby will touch it will be wash 😅

I was washing towels, blankets and clothes already. So I just threw in the covers for the snuggle me and hoppy and car seat and other things that could be washed since I was already doing the other stuff
