Potty training a toddler not talking yet?

My boy isn’t talking much yet, and I was wondering if anyone is potty training their little one who isn’t talking yet? I’m wondering how to do it if he can’t tell us yet that he needs to go potty?

My daughter was showing signs that she’s ready to be potty trained but doesn’t speak so it was an epic fail. So I’m waiting till she starts talking to try again

Our son isn't talking either and we are waiting a bit longer to start trying. He is showing a couple signs of readiness, but I don't feel we are quite there yet. I'm going to see how he is doing in a few months and reevaluate.

Ours is speech delayed but also doesn't care if his diaper is soiled so we're waiting until we have more signs

My daughter learned “peepee” “poopy” and “potty” WHILE we were potty training because we said them CONSTANTLY. So I say just get started (I think the easiest if he can’t or won’t tell you he needs to go is the no-pants method) and maybe he’ll pick up the words he needs from the repetition. 
Once you’ve gotten a bit into it, he should definitely at least start displaying some physical signs of needing to go, once he knows to hold it. When he’s holding pee you might see a “potty dance,” or when he needs to poop he might start bearing down (get that one to a potty ASAP! 😂) so just keep an eye out for those cues and make sure to take him to the potty.
If he’s able to take his own pants and underwear off, and you can put the potty somewhere easy for him to access on his own, you might also be able to teach him to take himself when he needs to go too. My daughter is pretty good at getting her pants and undies off but doesn’t generally put them back on, so if she’s suddenly pantsless we can check the potty and see if she went 😂

Thanks ladies! He has definitely been showing some signs but I figured if the speech wasn’t kicking in yet, it might be better to wait. I was just curious if anyone else had taken the leap and been successful.
