What happens at the first doctors appointment?

I’m just trying to prep myself. What do they check? Do they do an ultrasound? Or take blood?

My doctor orders a blood test and makes you fill out 700 pages of paperwork with medical history. Sometimes they use a Doppler or portable ultrasound if it’s available. And they should schedule a dating ultrasound so they can get a better idea of a due date. It’s a pretty boring appointment.

Depends on your doctor. Mine dont do ultrasounds or heartbeat until 12 weeks. They did pee test, blood draw, vitals, and checked my uterus. Theyll ask a bunch of questions about family history and how you're feeling

For me it was a pap, breast exam, vitals and a million medical history questions for both my husband and I to answer. I was able to schedule my dating ultrasound and blood work for later that week so that was nice! I was really disappointed that I didn't even get to hear the heartbeat at my first appt so I was glad I didn't have to wait another week for the ultrasound!

Vitals and pee in a cup. This is every visit at my Dr. Then asked tons of questions about medical history and past pregnancies if any. Pap smear/pelvic exam, breast exam and a dating ultrasound. Also my dr orders labs to be done on the way out.
