Ovulation pain on nexplanon?

So i got nexplanon in at the beginning of january of this year. Ever since it’s been bliss: no periods, no cramps, nothing. Only side effect is my acne has gotten slightly worse. Today however i started feeling what i can only describe as ovulation pain (dull ache) on the left side of my uterus. Only reason i feel like it’s ovulation pain is because i used to get ovulation pain all the time when i wasnt on birth control. I would be sore for a couple of days and then back to normal waiting for my period. Now I’m feeling the same pain on a birth control that is supposed to stop me from ovulating. Has anybody else felt this? Should i be concerned that it’s no longer working? Anything would be helpful.
