🆘 😟 preeclampsia?!

I am now 36 weeks...everything has been smooth sailing. Literally everything! No protein in urine, bp has been normal, weight gain normal and no sickness. However, I’ve had swelling here and there, nothing wild, it usually happens at the end of the day or after a walk. 
Today I go in and my bp is 136/90!? About 10 min before that it was 150/90!! They took it a second time cause the med asst couldn’t believe it was like that since I’ve been normal this whole time...
So they took my blood and I will have results tomorrow if I have it or not. If I do have it, they will induce sometime within the next week. 
Has this happened to anyone? If you have had pre e, did you end up birthing vaginally or c section? 
I’m a FTM, this whole pregnancy thing just freaks me out 😩

With my last pregnancy that’s exactly what happened. I was fine up until the very end and started getting high bp readings. I think mine started about 36-37 weeks. I was then induced right at 40 weeks and birth was smooth sailing. Vaginal, no problems. 12 hours from start to finish.

Could very well be preeclampsia. What you described totally sounds like my first pregnancy.
Please know that if you find out you do have it, doctors know what to do and you and baby will be perfectly fine. Do not panic over this. You are 36 weeks, chances are you will be 37 when you will be induced (if you are induced), which means your baby won't even be considered preterm.
I was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 34 1/2 w. They admitted me in the hospital right away, no going back home to get my stuff (so if i were you I'd back my bag and have it ready if it isn't already). They induced me the next morning. In my case the induction drug wasn't working fine and it took like 3 days for me dilate. But yes, i did have a vaginal birth, so yes you can too. 
Baby was born at 35 w and was perfectly healthy. Lungs fully developed and all (they gave me a shot to help the lungs develop but you probably won't need it since you're further along). Only needed to be in an incubator because he was not maintaining his boby temperature due to being 3,5 lbs, which will probably not be the case for you either.
So that's my story ! Do not stress over this, everything will be alright 😊

I’m being screened for pre-eclampsia too! Should get my results today. I’ll be 36w tomorrow. My doc said worse case scenario is that we induce at 37w. She said baby is far enough along and everything should be fine. Good luck! 💖 you got this mama!

I’m 35 weeks today, my bp was 130/80 something like that. Also That it seemed to be a little higher each visit but never has it gotten to 130. I was told since no protein it was fine. But that if I had a headache to take Tylenol and if that didn’t help then to call/go in cause it could be bp rising. Didn’t happen with my first, hoping it’s nothing serious. Ive had pre-e twice. This is now my third. 
With my first it was a csection. His heart rate kept dropping ( it was my fault, I was stubborn and wouldny take the epidural to allow my body to relax and the pitocin was as high as it gets) 
With my second, I had a vbac..induced at 37 weeks. 
Its scary to have this diagnosis but it is absolutely doable to have the birth you want. Just breath.. Getting worried and freaked out will only make your blood pressure higher.

I’ve just started swelling too at week 35, all been ok so far. where did you swell? Was this found at your 36 week apt?

uh... well... this sounds like me today.. my whole pregnancy has been a blessing and so easy, my blood pressure has been amazing - 113/60, until today - it was 143/80 and they took it 3 times... but they were super nonchalant about it... & that kinda makes me mad considering how your appointment went ... they’re making me take my blood pressure everyday and come in every week... but ... idk why they aren’t taking it as seriously as your doctors did 🤔🤔

Yep! I had it in my second pregnancy and went for an emergency csection on the spot, although that morning my blood pressure was my normal/low (100/60) and by late afternoon when I got to the hospital with the worst headache it was 250/135. 
Then I had it this pregnancy. Blood pressure *only* reached 160/100 this time, but I started having seizures at 26 weeks. 
Not once have I had protein present. 
I hate preeclampsia/eclampsia with a passion!!!
