Baby measuring 3 weeks ahead

Taylor • BABY #2 DUE: October 2019

Hi there mamas!

I’m expecting baby #2 - my due date is October 14th and baby has been consistently measuring 3 weeks ahead since the 20 week ultrasound. I know after the first trimester that the size of the baby can change and ultrasound is not a good indication of due date.

I’m 35 weeks and my OB offered another ultrasound to see if he was still measuring large (he was at last ultrasound at 29 weeks), but I declined due to the fact that even if he is still measuring 3 weeks ahead, they don’t change your due date or induce early. I didn’t think confirming the fact that he is large will do anything but make me more stressed out.

I’ve been 1cm dilated and baby’s head is engaged (doctor said she felt the top of his head last visit).

I’m just looking for any stories of moms who’s babies measured ahead. Did your baby come on their projected due date? Did they turn out to be as large as the later ultrasound predicted?

My doctor said she doesn’t think I’ll make it to 40 weeks, but I am so nervous this baby is going to be 10 pounds+ and my body won’t be able to handle it, and I’ll have to have an emergency C section. (My first was born 39+6 and was 7pounds7oz- so average)

Sorry for the long post, I appreciate any answers!
