Morning sickness or just sick?

How can I tell if I'm having morning sickness or if I'm just sick? I'm a teacher, and my whole life I have been known to get sick the first week of school. Now I'm 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant and I can't tell if that's what this is. This morning, since I woke up at 2:30 I have been feeling waves of nausea on and off. Is it too early for morning sickness? How do I know what this is?

Morning sickness is different than when you have gastroenteritis. It comes in waves and often gets a little better if you manage to eat something whereas gastroenteritis you will feel worse after eating. There is also no stomach cramps with morning sickness (though you might get sore muscles from vomiting).
Have you ever been carsick or felt queasy after going on an amusement park ride? It's more like that.

Might be early or possibly anxiety for your first week, i would carry on as normal as long as you feel ok. Gd luck x
