Spoiling babies

Can I just rant about something? Every time I’m around my MIL and her mother they always comment about how my baby is so “spoiled” because I give her “too much attention”. My baby is 3 months old and is my first baby and I do school from home so I’m OF COARSE I’m giving her attention! It really bugs me cause they act like I’m ruining her, and she’s gonna be a brat. Is this just like an older generation thing? Every single time I go to the pediatrician the hand out they give me says “it’s impossible to spoil your baby at this age”. Soooo what’s the deal with this?!?!
