Do you think parents should take blame

Question

So I commonly see parents getting blamed for their teens actions. I’m like the teen is at an age where they should know right from wrong. 
So should parents take the blame for their kids actions. 
Here’s a list of actions that teens can commit 
Drugs: selling or using 
Stealing
Murder
Assault : beat up or sexual assault 
Teen pregnancy 
Drunk driving or drinking
Vandalism

I dont think its clear cut as 1 or the other. Yes you can do everything right and your child can turn out less than savory however a lot of the time children learn what they live. Under 18 your child is your responsiblity

Personally, I was doing shit I shouldn’t have been as a teenager. My parents were amazing, but I still did what I wanted to do despite knowing the things I was doing were completely wrong. And I would have HATED myself if they had to suffer for my poor actions because they raised me right. I was just being immature and thought I was invincible to any bad things happening to me. You know, “Oh, I’m not worried about that. It could never happen to me” which is a mindset a lot of people have... Until it happens to them. 
I do think in some cases, parents are to blame though due to too “loose” of parenting. I had a friend in high school (we were 15 and 16) and her mom allowed house parties with alcohol, drugs, etc. She participated and even smoked cigarettes with us on her porch. So if her daughter (that I no longer speak to, I’m grown and married now) were to commit a horrendous crime back then, I could totally vouch that her mother was a huge factor in why it happened. 
But then you have the other cases where parents have no idea what their child is doing (like mine), despite being an amazing parent, because children are so damn sneaky. (My parents were STRICT. Called my friend’s parents if I was supposed to be there, tracked my cell phone, did drive by’s, etc but I STILL got away with doing dumb shit because I was so damn mischievous/smart about ways to cover my ass). 
So I’m torn on my decision for this question, honestly! That’s something to really think about though. I hope other people respond with their honest opinions for me to ponder upon.

Whether you grow up in a good home or bad home isn’t an excuse for bad behavior. Bad behavior is a choice. Parents are held financially responsible for the minors bad actions but they are not to blame. The minor can CHOOSE to make the right choice.

In a lot of these, personally, yes I think a large part of it is the parents. A kid from a good family, who was raised well and taught good values won’t go and randomly assault someone. I work in child care and have experience with a variety of age groups and honestly 99% of the time of a kid is doing things like that, it starts at home, and they learned it all from somewhere. And if not from their parents, they their parents allowed them to be exposed to those things elsewhere. 
The only big exception is things like drinking and doing drugs when paired with the kid having depression or other mental health issues. It’s not always easy for a parent to see those signs in their child, no matter how good of a parent they are.

Teens can commit a hell of a lot more than that. 
It’s both. Parents should be aware of their kids location and what they are doing. Teens are also responsible for their actions. Some parents do everything right and their kid still turns out to be deviant. Not everything can be blamed on the parents. 
But teens do have to be held accountable for their actions. Absolutely. If not, they won’t learn.

No, being a parent is hard and even if you try to teach them right from wrong and to do the right thing, face it they will do what they want especially in the teen years. That person made a choice and needs to live with the consequences, it’s no ones responsibility to take the blame for their mistake.
