What are Braxton Hicks and what do they feel like?

I always see people talking about them but I have no idea what Braxton Hicks are, what they feel like, and when do you start having them? Are they normal? Just curious because idk what to really look for. I'm 24 weeks

I actually had some last night. Mine felt like period pain in my lower pelvis under my belly. Mine are painful, but not everyone’s BH are. Most people just feel a tightening across their belly for false labor pains that don’t really hurt.

With my daughter I had no idea I was having Braxton Hicks until my dr told me at an appointment I was in the middle of one. Couldn’t feel any of the Braxton Hicks 🤷‍♀️  no idea what they’ll feel like this time around

It just feels like cramps in your stomach like labor accept minor not full-blown and obviously if you haven't had a child you don't know what that feels like but you'll definitely know I don't think there's any words to describe contractions the Braxton Hicks are just false preparing your body for the baby to come

It’s fake labour. Not everyone gets them. I been having the for a month and am 31 weeks tomorrow
