1 floor house or 2 floor?

For a family with a 9 month old and baby on the way. Would be living there for 3+ years.

I would make sure that the bedrooms are on the same level, also think about the danger of little kids falling of the stairs.

Depends what’s on each floor. I live in a house that’s a main level with a basement. Hubby uses the downstairs and me and the kids have all our stuff upstairs. Ideally we want to be in a place that has 3 bedrooms on one level (currently only 2) and best case scenario would be a bi level split with the bedrooms and a washroom upstairs, main level, then basement. Hard to find in my area tho, bungalows are very popular.

I live in a 3 floor home, with 5 bed, 5 bath. It’s just me, my husband, and our toddler. We will be living here forever probably because it’s a beautiful home, we love the area, and the neighborhood. 
I like homes with more than one floor. Especially when it comes to sound/noises. If I’m popping popcorn in my kitchen, I don’t worry about it traveling down the hall to wake up my toddler because he’s upstairs. If I’m working in my home office on something, I don’t have to worry about noise distracting me. 
Plus, we live in a very quiet, family oriented neighborhood. I’ve never really liked one floor homes because they just seem too small for me. But you go with what you like, and what you can afford.

I’ve lived in both a one story and two story house with our child. And I definitely have a preference: one story! In fact, I don’t ever want to live in a two story house again. Everything is so much more convenient having everything on one floor and not having to run up and down stairs often to get something.
