Baths?

Is it bad to be taking a bath every night at 32 weeks almost 33. My son kicks so much at night and and a relaxing bath always helps me calm down.

I hope not because I’m 34 weeks and a bath every night is the only that helps my back from sciatic nerve pain snd just relaxes me overall

So long as your core body temp is not getting too hot, there’s no harm in it. When you go into labor, sometimes they say don’t bathe too early it can slow the contractions. But if it relaxes you then go for it! We need all the sleep we can get! I take nighttime showers often for same reason, and then rub down with some lavender almond body oil. Very relaxing!

Midwife told me just limit the use of bubble bath too often. Maybe just once or twice a month as it can throw off the ph levels down there. Our lady bits are so sensitive during pregnancy and you don’t want to end up with thrush.
I love my bath and have sometimes seen me having two a day because they help so much with the hip pain 😅

I also take baths! Will be 33 weeks on Wednesday! I plan to labor in the tub at my hospital which my drs are absolutely cool with. As other poster stated most important thing is not overheating other than that good to go!

Baths are absolutely fine until your water breaks. I asked this question at my last appt and doc said there is no harm. Just don’t make the water too hot.

Baths are great! They can lower BP, relieve sore muscles, etc. It would be difficult to get too hot since your torso is usually exposed above the water and helps regulate your core temp. Enjoy!
