Rent being withdrawn directly from paycheck?

My new landlord is requiring us to pay her rent directly from employer biweekly. Like set up a direct deposit to her account because our credit isnt at the level shes comfortable with. I dont have a problem with it , i just never heard if that. Anyone else experience this?

Also just for clarification, if she is asking that you set up a direct deposit with your job for the rent to automatically be sent to her account when your paid and it not hit your bank account first, then no I would not do that, that is weird.

Make sure you have proof you paid her Incase she tries to pull a fast one and say you haven’t been paying

Never heard of that. But I have heard of scams where the landlord tells u to pay her directly and she ended up embezzling the apartment she managed and got so many people evicted!!

I totally understand where your landlord is coming from and I wouldn't mind at all. Saves me an extra couple of minutes so yes. It's more convenient for everybody.
