Do you think my tattoo infected?

I got this tattoo done 4 days ago. I will go to the dr if it doesn’t get better, I just want to know what everyone else’s opinion is. The only symptom I have is redness. Its not painful, blistered, hot to the touch, or oozing. I’m just not sure this amount of redness is normal. Also, I know it looks dry, but I have been washing it 2-3 times and putting lotion on it as directed by my tattoo artist.  Tia!
Edit- I know it looks dry, as I said previously. lol. I have been doing what my tattoo artist told me to do. He sent me home with a card that had the directions on it. Wash 2-3 times a day and lotion 3-6 times a day.  I have started lotioning more often and it isn’t helping so I guess I’ll be making a trip to the dr soon. Lol.

It looks dry. How are you cleaning it? Use gold dial antibacterial soap on it to wash! Are you putting unscented lotion or a&d on it’ll keep it moist.(I’ve always used a&d 
, gold dial soap twice a day, and a&d as needed for dryness, and all mine heal great). It’s it warm to the touch at all? That’s the biggest sign of infection. Also was it done by a licensed shop?

It’s not infected it’s to dry. You don’t have to wash it more than once a day!! It needs lotion really badly

Listen to your artist. Gold antibacterial Dial soap is the best, 2-3 times a day, dab dry with a paper towel and not a cotton towel. Apply unscented lotion (Nivea is AMAZING, I also really like Curel ultra healing) at least 3 times daily. There is no need for any Vaseline or A&D ointment. This will just prolong the healing process and allow for the perfect feeding ground for bacteria, increasing your chance for an infection.

Black pigment bleeds out a bit differently. This can also happen if you didn't wash it well enough when you took the original bandaging off 24hr after getting it.  If you didn't get all the plasma off it scabs thicker.  Do not try to wash it better now (its too late and will cause more problems trying).  It's also in a spot that moves around alot in a day, so can be easier to irritate. Don't scratch it (only slap it once if you need to).  Keep it dry and our of the water (do not soak it for any reason).  Moisterize it at least twice a day - anything that hasn't soaked in 15 minutes after putting in on should be dabbed off with a dry face cloth. Keep it clean.  Don't keep it covered (ie. don't rebandage)  Do NOT pick at the scab, claw at the edges or accidentally rip it off when the scab starts to lift in a few days from when you took the picture.  Don't let anyone else touch it, lick it, sweat on it, pee on it, or do anything else to it.  
If it starts weeping, swelling or it isnt mostly  healed in about a weeks time, go back to where you got it done and ask them about the next steps to take.

Don’t use dented things on it. Make sure it’s unscented soap and lotion. That’s what mine tells me every time I get a tattoo.

Yes infected.  It looks like the guy who did went too deep which many see infections. Get to doc's for script

Looks a little irritated and might be on its way to infected. I wouldn’t wash it as much. Instead of lotion try a&d antibiotic ointment, it keeps it moisturized with out irritating it. You can get the ointment at Walmart
