Skip hop activity center- how do you clean the discovery window?

We have the skip hop activity center for our 6 month old. He loves it and we love that he has a safe stimulating place to be. We clean it periodically during the day and then A good wipe down nightly but I’ve noticed recently with his constant drooling and sometimes being fed in there or the occasional spit up the edges around the discovery window are getting gross.

How do you clean in there?

Does your window pop out? How did you do it?

I’ve tried to get our window to pop out but it seems pretty well attached and I don’t want to break it but I do want to clean it. Now with the grime in there I’m contemplating taking it out even if it does break but then I’m worried there will be sharp edges his fingers might get cut on. And of course the little piano which he does like wouldn’t attach anymore and that would be sad.

Please help! I know we aren’t the first to have this problem....
