7.5 month old sleeping with blanket under arms?

Question

Anyone else have a blanket with their baby at this age? We transitioned her out of the Merlin and this seems to work but I'm so worried because it's a loose blanket. It is tucked in though.

I know sleep guidelines but babies have been sleeping with blankets for hundreds of years. You just have to do what you are comfortable with. My son absolutely hates his feet being confined. After we stopped the sleepsacks he was able to relax more. Because he is on track or ahead for motor skills, I’m okay with this. He can also move things that cover his face.

My baby has slept with a blanket since she was 5 months old. We are safe about it and keep her owlet oxygen monitor on.

My son slept with a loose blanket since he was born :/ lol when he was a NB we would swaddle him in a blanket or just tuck it in under his body. And then when he was about a month old I would put a blanket over his face while he’s awake and he would grab it and rub it on his face to self soothe and move it himself. Now he has a favorite blanket that he loves to rub on his face when falling asleep and cuddle with haha

My son sleeps with a blanket since 5 months. He frees himself when he's too hot. I would not worry too much, your baby will show you if he's comfortable or not

We transitioned out of the sleep sack early because the zipper broke and now we just give my lo a small blanket at night. He has slept so much better. He is 8 months and so far so good :) I say if the baby can pull the blanket off of their face (when playing peekabo or something) then it's fine to let them sleep with one.
