With my last baby wr had a swing with electric functions.  the seat could come off and it turned  into a rocker, it was fantastic, trying to find anither one similar

Mamaroo. It bounces, glides and swings (I believe it has 5 motions and a few speeds). It’s a one stop shop in my opinion.

I’m only getting bouncer 😊
I’ve heard that babies can be super picky about swings. Some like it, some don’t. And some only like a specific kind. So I’m waiting after birth to see if I need one.

I’m on my 3rd and not a single baby has liked the swing.  I used the bouncer for my first but my second was in a baby carrier 24/7.  I imagine this one will be the same.  Downside to bouncer is mine needed to be bounced which is hard to do unless it’s the only baby (physically using a hand or foot to bounce it).   I think that’s why they didn’t like the swing- some babies prefer bouncing over swinging motion

Swings can make some bad habits- baby will need to swing all the time to go to sleep and that’s not practical. I would only use it if you have another child close in age and need it as an emergency.
I used this really cool bouncer that vibrates so that I could put baby in it when I needed to bath or shower as obviously after birth you will be sore and a simple bath makes you feel more human 😂

Rock n play when you’re awake to watch baby. Bassinet of some sort for sleeping. We didn’t use the swing until baby was about 2 months old and she hated it
