How long?

My partner and I have been trying now for 8 months and I am due for AF in 2 days. I had a BFN this morning and I’ve now started to get cramps. It’s starting to get quite defeating seeing a negative result month after month (especially since we know we have both been capable of conceiving before with previous partners) How long did it take you to fall pregnant? And how long should I leave it before seeking assistance?

They say if you’re under 35 you should try for a year before seeing a specialist. If you’re over 35 wait no longer than 6 months before seeing a specialist. Do whatever you feel is right though. Good luck!

I’m in my 8 month of trying (32 yo) and I just called a fertility specialist yesterday. I’ve never conceived before, but according to my husbands sperm check and my regular cycles (including tracking), we shouldn’t have any issues either. I just don’t wait any longer to get things moving! I know appointments can take a while to get and I’m sure the tests don’t happen overnight. But I’d do what you’re most comfortable with!
