Honestly I personally think it’s a bit selfish to go to school/work if you are clearly sick.. that’s a way to get everyone else sick as well.. every time someone has come sick to work soon we all became sick..

Take some Advil or Tylenol for the sore throat, and stock up on tissues and throat lozenges. Wash your hands frequently and do your best to keep your germs to yourself. If you get behind in your schoolwork, you're just going to get even more stressed, which can affect your immune system and cause you to get even sicker.

If its really REALLY bad, meaning that painkillers and meds don't help and if it is really preventing you from concentrating.

Personally I’d go to school. I could never afford to miss classes and that doesn’t sound like something a little cold medicine couldn’t relieve

In my opinion no, that’s not a valid enough reason. I would have to go to school regardless, even with a minor fever. Some house holds allow you to be off for a cold, I disaprove
