Difference between ivf and iui?

I will turn 42 next month. What is the difference between ivf and iui?What are the price differences?Any age restrictions?I will be moving to Hackensack n.j. in November. Does anyone know of a good fertility specialist and gynecologist in the area?

IVF - they retrieve your eggs after you inject yourself with a cocktail of hormones for 10-14 days. Then, depending on how you go about it, they either leave sperm with your eggs and they “self select” or they choose the best looking guys to inject one into each egg. They then grow in an incubator for 5-6 days and hopefully become blastocysts. At this point you can have them biopsied for genetic testing (note: a great looking embryo doesn’t always mean its genetically normal). The embryos are then cryogenically frozen. Then, most doctors will have you wait a month or two for your hormones to balance out. Then more drugs (shots in your butt, fun times!) and they transfer 1-2 back in. 
IUI - I haven’t done this but from what I know, some drugs are involved and they “clean” the sperm and inject them in you at just the right time. 
IVF can cost around $10-20k per cycle, I think (I am lucky with really good insurance). Watch out for the price of drugs. It’s usually separate from what the clinic quotes and can cost up to $8-10k. 
IUI cost - I don’t know but surely not as much!
