Sick or allergic reaction?

My LO is 5 months old. We tried him on pumpkin purée today and since then he’s been spitting up. He spit up the pumpkin and now he’s spitting up his formula. He has been teething, so he’s been pulling at his ears too. Pic of my LO’s gums.

Could be sick or teething generally though if sick there could be other symptoms same with an allergy they dont usually just spit up.

My pediatrician always tells us teething only produces teeth. He is very strict on this. They shouldn’t be pulling on their ears, getting high fevers, throwing up, runny noses, diarrhea. He said people think that those things have to do with teething and actually don’t realize their child is sick. I would keep an eye on him and if it continues maybe call and ask your pediatrician.
