Braxton Hicks Contractions... what do they feel like?

I’ve been told that BH contractions don’t hurt at all. You just feel your uterus tightening/spasming. Not sure if they’re BH or not but I keep getting cramps... they feel like period cramps but not quite as bad. Sometimes I get them a couple times a day... other times I go a few days without. They usually last 30-90 seconds. Could this feeling be BH contractions? I’m just about 31 weeks.

Even with real contractions I never felt the tightening feeling people talk about. It just felt like awful period cramps to me 🤷‍♀️ so that's what my BH feel like too

I’ve just started having them. I suffer from IBS and BH feels like IBS cramps. That feeling of something messing up your tummy and you’re about to need to rush to the toilet!

Yeah it’s like tightening tingly feeling that you can’t control even if you suck your gut in you’ll see your stomach harden into a soft/medium ball, I’m having preterm contractions and I know the difference between the Braxton hicks and preterm ones, cause the preterm contractions hurt from back and front, and feel like your baby has tons of pressure down there on your cervix, I can’t walk through them either, but the Braxton hicks are very gentle on me compared to the stronger contractions

My first couple BH felt like tightening with period-like cramps, but now it’s just tightening/pressure. No pain. Just uncomfortable. But every woman is different 😊

Yeah they feel like period cramps that stop if you change position or walk around/ have a bath. 
They don’t get progressively worse and they don’t hurt to the point that you are very uncomfortable.
You may be having “poop pains” as they’re called in our house 😂 your digestive system has slowed right down and can make processing the food a little painful. If it gets better when you toot toot then it’s poop pains

BH can be slightly painful. They are generally just uncomfortable though. Your entire abdomen will get really tight/rock hard for 30-90 seconds on average. They don't really feel like period cramps to me
