Saline hysterosonogram before ivf?

Hi ladies! Just curious as to who of you got a saline hysterosonogram before

? My doctor asked me to do it but you need to do it relatively early in your cycle and I didn't get a chance to do it my last cycle. I was previously doing

but due to my husband's sperm count and motility we are moving to

IVF

. I had booked a test but she told me that I could skip it at our consultation because she felt confident that I didnt have any polyps or it would have shown up on the ultrasounds during

IUI

monitoring, since my lining got as thin as 5cm. I also guess it technically doesn't matter if my tubes are blocked or not if we are doing

IVF

?

Any thoughts on whether the test is still worth doing or not? Cost is not an issue as this test would be covered by insurance. Thanks in advance.
