Anyone raise their baby by themselves + husband?

Question

I’m getting a bit annoyed I guess. All my friends that are new moms have their parents coming over to stay with them and “help”. 
My family lives 2 and a half hours away and my husbands family lives 3 and a half hours away. It’s just me and him and I never once felt like we were inadequate to raise a baby just us but everyone keeps telling me to “try and find some help” 
My husband has flexible hours and can work from home most of the day and I’ll be home for the first year. 
Can I just get some positivity on here please ? 😞

I feel like any "help" with baby is actually just going to be annoying. If my mom or mother-in-law come over I'm putting them to work doing chores to keep them out of my hair. I think that's actually the only "help" I'll want. I don't need them trying to tell me how to parent my child.

same. my girl is 7 weeks old right now it’s just been me and my fiancé taking care of her with no help. our families live 2 hours away and we have no friends here. it’s hard but you gotta do what you gotta do! i’m glad it’s not just me by myself doing it tho . but i’m still jealous of my friends who can just hand the baby off too their parents when they want to 😓

I have parents on both sides living near, within 20mins. But me and my husband are raising him. I bring my LO round for visits or they visit. Don’t get me wrong if I wanted help they would 100% be there but I don’t feel like I need any help at the minute anyway.

My mom lives like 10 minutes away, his mom lives 9 hours away. 
But just like the other comment said WE are the parents & WE'RE gonna be the ones raising our kids. My mom was there when i gave birth & she came over 2x to help me bathe my son & that's it. I'm a SAHM , therefore i'm always home w my kid while my husband works 12+ hours. My baby is needy, but i can always manage to cook, clean , shower , & take care of him at he same time. 🙂
My mom has asked me several times if she can come pick up my son & take him w her for a few days or hours , i always say no. Either i'll take him to visit her or she can come over lol. I don't like being away from my son & i don't like anybody telling me how to do things w him. He's Gonna be 5 months next week , he's big & healthy.

Plenty of people do it alone. We arent because we love the connection our kids have but I dont depend on anyone to raise my kids. Sure the help is nice, but I can do it alone. Be confident in yourselves. You guys are very much capable of doing it yourself. 😊

My first daughter was born 7 hours away from our families. It's work, but you can do it.

We have! We lived 3 states away from both of our families. My mom came for the birth and support, but left when my daughter was like 3-4 days old. We were on our own from them. Have had family visit but never help lol, literally vacation at my house 😂 we’ve always done it on our own and are about have our second baby, due in Oct. This time we are on a completely different continent. Again, doing it all alone.
But there’s nothing wrong with ppl getting help when it’s available to them. I’m unsure why you’d be annoyed that they have access to the help, it doesn’t mean they think of themselves as inadequate or unable to raise their own babies. The help is great when it’s available. It’s just different for families like us, when we do have to do it on our own. But nothing to be annoyed over
