So back in 2015 I got xrays done on my back because of my scoliosis. It’s been 4 years since then and I can’t remember if we paid anything or what our insurance covered but we never received any bills in the mail. So this year, I’ve been getting calls from a debt collector. They say I owe $900. Seems like a lot. Again, I don’t remember. Talked to my insurance and said it doesn’t tell them what I paid. I called the hospital I got them done but their billing department is part of a new company now. The company told me that maybe my balance doesn’t show since a debt collector has it now. So I called the debt collector again and I told her I’m not paying a cent until I see some proof, a statement or anything! She said she could email me so I was expecting a pdf file showing my bill. But instead she sent a link to a website called qwikshare, something like that. It asks me to put in my email and then in asks for my social. I stopped right there because idk if the website is legit..... idk if I should be putting my social.

I don’t know what else to do to verify my debt is real. I looked up the debt collectors company and it says it’s legit but it could also be fake? Idk 😩

Also when they call me, the number has the area code or where I live. 915.

But they’re located in KANSAS. So idk how they’re calling me from a phone number with the area code from TEXAS.
