Craving protein...
I’m 23 weeks pregnant and have been vegan/PB for 2 years now. I’ve loved every minute of it, but lately I’ve been craving protein?! Like burgers and chicken 😪 I don’t like eating the “plant based” meat because it freaks me out and I like to eat as healthy as possible, in my mind I can’t see how the processed faux meat can be good for you. I started this journey for health reasons, but I’m learning more about the vegan lifestyle and have been working on becoming totally cruelty free. Anyway..has anyone been in this situation and what would/did you do? I eat tofu and beans and have a gluten sensitivity which limits what vegan protein I can have anyway. I need some advice.
Please only want advice from those educated about plant based eating/those with past experience.
