Circumsicion?

Anyone who has had boys.. did you get the circumcised? What is the recovery like for baby? Cleaning process??

We chose not to.  SO has a circumcision injury that can’t be repaired so it’s just not a risk we wanted to take with our son.

My first 2 boys were circumcised. After educating myself more and not just going off of what people told me i will absolutely not be circumcising this boy.

I have no kids but have had two nephews have injury from the procedure. I also have two that are uncircumcised. It's really up to you, I don't plan to circumcise my sons just because I think it's an unnecessary medical procedure. They are no more likely to get infections uncut as long as you never pull back the foreskin (they will do it themselves once they are older)
I'd Google some on it. They lose a lot of nerve endings, it's not really necessary medically, there's less and less sexual judgment about being uncut, etc etc. Maybe youtube some videos about it too. But all in all up to you and the dad 🤷🏼‍♀️

I let my husband decide since he’s a guy and I didn’t have an opinion. The recovery was easy. The doctor said he slept through the procedure. We just had to put Vaseline and gauze over it for about a week.

My son only cried few minutes after and was fine .
Recovery and healing was zero issues and healed up in a week

Recovery has been fine. Our little guy really only cried because he was cold. Our doctor used a blanket to swaddle his arms down, and he relaxed pretty much right away. Cleaning wasn’t too bad - just gently wiping at diaper changes and then coating in Vaseline.

My first sons went fine and healed good my second they messed it up and it still looks bad, they also told me the anesthesia didnt work on him so he was in pain. Absolutely will not circumcise this boy.

Carefully clean around the penis with a wipe and then apply vaseline to the area each diaper change. When i had my son they did the procedure and put some clear surgical tape like thing around the head of his penis and it had antibiotics on it. It fell off in 2 days like they told me and in about a week he was fine.

As others mentioned, the Vaseline with each diaper change is crucial but that's basically it. The tip looks red and angry for a couple weeks but it ends up looking pretty normal before you know it.

Same as other post. He didnt even wake up, healed in a week.
