Gallbladder surgery?

Question

Have you had your gallbladder removed? If so, how long did it take the swelling to go down? Also, how many days did you take off work? I feel so fat right now. I can’t believe how huge my stomach looks. 
I had surgery Tuesday evening, took off work Wednesday and started working again Thursday (which I fully regret). I’m so tired.  I know it could take a while to feel better and get the swelling down, just curious what others experienced.

I took about 3 weeks off but my gallbladder surgery didnt come out well. Apparently, The doctor didnt clamp my arteries correctly and I had internal bleeding after he removed my gallbladder. I had a second surgery to correct it and put a tube in my stomach to drain the liquid.  and got a blood transfusion because I lost alot of blood in the two days after the surgery. I was in the hospital for 7 days.

I took 2 weeks off of work and still needed help lifting heavy things for a day or 2 when i went back.. swelling / gas went down after 3 or 4 days.  Gas was horribly painful😭

I had it out a few years back. I took the day of and the following day off. It was enough time. I can’t remember about the swelling.

I had mine take out back in 2011 at 1mo postpartum and it took around 1week for the swelling to go down

I got mine removed about 3 years ago. I was a senior in high school so thankfully I only had to take off two days because the following week was winter break. If I’m remembering correctly it took a few weeks for the swelling to go down.

I took a week off. By the 3rd day I was able to move around a lot more. I didn't really have swelling though.
