My boyfriend takes 2 Benadryl/antihistamine a day to get the relaxation effects. Would you be okay with this?

I mean theres really nothing wrong with it. I took benadryl when i had issues sleeping while pregnant, recommend by my OB

It will probably become less effective over time but as far as I know there’s no side effects from long term use 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s not really any different than using a prescription anti anxiety or anti nausea med that’s an anti histamine

As long as it isn’t every single day for a long period of time. Apparently, chronic consistent use can have the opposite effect (at least that’s what I’ve been told).

I would be bothered and concerned with him self medicating himself when he needs to be professionally evaluated by a therapist & doctor to be properly treated by medications meant for his diagnoses. There is actually a medication similar to benadryl called vistaril and is prescribed by doctors for anxiety. Have him go see a physician. Stay away from benzos as they are highly addictive
