Might be stupid question

I know this might be a stupid question since this is my second baby. But I was induced with my first and only had back contractions. But am I having contractions now?

I am have period like cramps with my Braxton hicks(I think that’s what they are). Which I haven’t had before until today. The cramps hurt pretty bad and I am starting to have little back pain. Also keep having hot flashes.

I’m not sure. Any ideas? I’m 39 weeks tomorrow.
