Things I should know before getting the rod????

I’m 17 and getting the rod in my arm sometime this coming week and I  was just wondering if any of you had any tips or pieces of advice about your own experiences. Any advice is greatly appreciated ❤️❤️ Thanks ladies

I had three consecutive ones over nine years before moving to an iud. First eight years were great, no periods no problems. But in the ninth year I bled a lot. Was suggested I switch to an iud which was brilliant.

When I had mine I kinda kept my period but it made it a little irregular with some spotting on and off

After a year and a half to two years of not getting my period I was having 2 week periods, periods every other week, or even a month and a half of just bleeding.
