Blonde patch of hair?

My son is 14 days old, & today I noticed a blonde patch of hair on the crown of his head. 
I'm 99% sure he wasn't born with it, but he has been in the NICU so 99% of the time I'm the one holding him so I haven't really had a good look, but no one has mentioned it before so I don't know 🤷🏼‍♀️
I'm shocked at how light it is! My first son is white blonde, but he has a different dad (my current partner has dark hair but was born blonde). 
I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this is has any idea what us going on?

It’s kinda like a birth mark. My husband was born with blonde patches on back of head And actually has them till this day in hair.

It’s probably a birth mark. My brother has always had a little blonde patch of hair on his head and now he’s 18 lol

Could totally be a birth mark! I have 2 people in my life who have dark hair and a super blonde/whitish strip of hair. It’s pretty cool!

I have a friend who has this it’s his birth mark he has a gray patch of hair right in the front of his head .

It’s a Birthmark and a super cute one at that ❤️, my friend (AA) has one too and nobody in his family has blond hair lol and he still has it to this day

My brother’s son has this as well, as he grew older his hair naturally became much lighter so now you hardly see the patch!
