Fundal height at 14 weeks seems high??

Ja

Okay so I don't know for sure... I wasn't taught by my doctor, only looked at Google charts and instructions. I'm on the thin side 110lbs, 19bmi) and have had a bit of a bump for several weeks... The top of my uterus seems to be about to my navel (I'm judging this by the curve and I can tell the difference between food baby and actual baby, it's not just my stomach sticking out). Yes, bladder was empty when I poked at my belly.

It seems to be 14cm, so at 14+a few, this seems like it should be about right. But I'm reading all over the place that it's not expected to be at belly button height until about 20 weeks... More like halfway between navel and pubic bone at this point.

I had one pregnancy loss at about 5 weeks years ago so I feel like this should be counted like a first pregnancy (growth-wise) since I had very little growth, if any last time (I don't think there was any). The 8 week ultrasound showed just one, and i know it's possible but not super likely to have missed a second.

Just wondering if anyone has any insight. I may not be correctly identifying the height, especially since the heartbeat was found fairly low last week... but it just seems I'm awfully high compared to estimated charts. I'm not worried since bloodwork was all fine and doctor didn't measure nor comment. Just hoping the strong feeling I'm having that it's a girl despite the boy blood results doesn't mean it's both.... 😂
