9 days after I had my girl via c section. And bowels are absolutely painful!! Why???

Is it normal after delivery to have very painful stomach pains when just try to push thst devil out?? Today my bowels opened again after 4 days of nothing and stomach pain was terrible when I tried to push, I was almost in tears! Is it normal? Midwife coming tomorrow so hopefully she will know what's wrong, but before that I'm scared to go to the bathroom 😣😣😣

I had the same problem after a c section with my son. Try stool softeners to help ease it out and try wearing a binder when you go so it don't hurt so bad to push. It helped me . Good luck!

Yes you had a major abdominal surgery and you use those muscles to push. Have you been taking stool softener? If you are concerned you should make an appointment with your doctor.

It’s always going to hurt your abdominal muscles since you have an incision that you are healing from. I made the mistake and didn’t take the stool softeners right away and I didn’t have a bowel movement for 6 days after I had my son. I finally took them and then once the urge was there it hurt like hell. I was on the toilet for over an hour and my stomach was involuntary pushing for me, I ended up getting the shakes and was in tears. Definitely take the stool softener as soon as you can.
