Asking if your baby sleeps through the night

I’ve seen social media posts about women telling people not to ask if their baby sleeps through the night. I’m just confused as to why it may be frowned upon. I don’t have kids of my own although I have one on the way. I’ve asked my family members and close friends who’ve had babies this question. They didn’t act like it was rude or offended them in any way. I only asked them because I was curious of babies sleep patterns and what I may be in for🤷🏼‍♀️ I wasn’t asking to judge or anything. Just genuinely curious.

So I’m just wondering if its rude and why? I guess I may not understand yet because my baby isn’t out of the womb yet. So i myself have yet for someone to ask me this. Just looking for insight so I know why I shouldn’t ask. Is it just maybe a question that seems nosy?
