Baby hates the bath?

My daughter is 4.5 months old. She has always been eh, on getting a bath, but tolerated it. The past two times I put her in her baby tub she just completely lost it. Screaming and crying. No water has to even hit her, just being put in the baby bath sets her off. I’m the only one who bathed her so I know nothing happened to traumatize her regarding the bath. Has this happened to anyone? What did you do?

Try co bathing. It’s always been fine for me and my kids until they could be in the bath without the need of a baby bath

Get a different bath seat and make sure the temperature of the water isn’t too hot. Also run the water right over her. She doesn’t like something about the bath. Maybe she’s not secure in the seat. Or she doesn’t like the water too hot/cold. Or it’s too loud. Try different things.

Does she have bath toys or maybe a bubble bath? I try to change things up with my daughter and she enjoys splashing

My son hated it too. He didn’t start to enjoy it until he could sit up independently. I tried different bath seats and tubs. Some for the sink and some for the tub. He hated all of them. I think he get too vulnerable. That’s the only explanation I could come up with. He didn’t mind showers though, so I just started showering with him instead.

My kiddo is 1 & still hates the bath. The only time she'll take one is if I'm in there with her. I just cut my losses & we shower instead. For whatever reason, she loves that, just not the bath.
