So I got put on bupropion today. I went to the dr to change my antidepressant and also see if there was anything that could help with weight loss. I started taking MIRTAZAPINE about 9 months ago and it caused me to gain a lot of weight. I’m a short girl im 5’1. Before I started taking it I weighed around 180. I know overweight. But now I’m 220 an I’m miserable. I had knee surgery 2 years ago an ever since I haven’t been able to have complete range of motion with it. So walking is extremely hard an painful. So working out isn’t something I can do. I know I can do water workouts an stuff and I’m looking into it. But my oncologist wants me to lose about 50lbs by January. So I asked my regular doctor if we could change my antidepressant and if there was something he could give me to help me with losing weight. So he put me on bupropion 150mg.. he said it will help with both. Has anyone used this medication to help with weight loss. I go back in 3 months for weight check to see if it will help.
