How long after membrane sweep did labor start?

I’m 39+3 today I’ve been a little dilated and very effaced for a couple weeks now. Doctor thinks this will speed up the process but we will see! Curious how many people actually had this done and it was successful!

Had one done one before at 39 + 4 in the afternoon, contractions started the next morning and by the evening I was in the Labour & delivery ward

With my 2nd I was 38+4, 3.5cms dilated & 100% effaced, it worked almost immediately and I had my son 4 hours later.
With my 3rd I was 38+3, 2-3cms dilated & 50% effaced, I started having contractions later in the afternoon but nothing consistent until the following day. Once things got consistent, my son was born about 6 hours later.

I had one done yesterday morning at 38+5 weeks. Had cramping, lightning crotch, back pain, lost pieces of plug and spotting. Today the spotting is gone but still have all of the other symptoms. Went for a walk yesterday and today. We’ll see how it goes because they say if it works then it has to work within 2 days.
