kissing children on the lips?

Just wondering because we as a family dont kiss our babys/kids on the lips. they arent shown any less affection in anyway but we just feel like the lips are a special type kiss you share with a spouse etc not family

however ive had some family members kiss my

kids on their lips and do with their own kids

do you think its fine?

my opinion is its pretty awkward 😅 theres going to have to be a time in their age where you stop doing that right? and then it seems weird and neglectful to suddenly deny them a form of affection you used to happily express 🤔 whereas kissing on the cheek, forehead, hugging etc can continue any age
