Stuck in early/prodromal labor

I was at hospital all morning. Walked for 2 hours and never went more than 1cm. Im stuck at contractions every 8 mins but the contractions are so painful Im almost in tears. Im so upset to be sent home but mainly because I feel like Im getting no where and stuck. Ive been losing my mucus plug for days and today had what I believe was my bloody show or atleast the start of it. 😔

Anyone going through this or has gone through this? How long till you went into active labor?
