Announcing early? 6-8 weeks?

Has anyone announced before they got an ultrasound? I won’t have one until 9 weeks but my family is excited and wants me to announce so they can too. I had 2 miscarriages before my daughter. I am 6 weeks now with no issues but I’m afraid something may go wrong.

If it were me, I would at least wait until after the first ultrasound to ensure there was a heartbeat.

You can announce whenever You want🤷🏻‍♀️  We announced as soon as we found out at 4 weeks with each pregnancy. 2 were miscarriages before this baby (after my first) still didn’t make us wait to announce

I announced at 5 weeks with my first. It took us 2 and a half years to get pregnant with this baby, I'm 13+3 today. It was secondary infertility and we didn't announce till 12 weeks this time. I always hear though, announce to people who you would want support from if something were to happen. Congrats by the way!

I waited until 10 weeks but I’ve seen ppl announce sooner. Don’t let your family sway you, do what makes you comfortable

With previous miscarriages I wouldnt annouce until 12 weeks at the latest. Dont do something just because they want you to. Be excited and enjoy it in the moment before telling the world. Dont get my wrong its great telling everyone and being able to talk about it but to enjoy it in peace with just those you love is even better. I honestly wish I would have waited a few more weeks. I annouced at like 11 weeks and 5 days. Also having to explain to everyone you lost the baby if it were happen will not be fun at all.

I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy so we announced to our immediate family after first ultrasound and didn’t announce to the world until gender US at 20 weeks. We made our family promise they wouldn’t say anything because it was our news to tell and they waited (impatiently) until then. Do what you and your SO feel comfortable with and don’t let your family make you feel pressured into announcing before you’re ready.

I personally announced early with my first bc I wanted my friend and family to know even if the worst happened.  I wanted their love and support either way.     My second I waited until we went to the dr the first time and got a dating ultrasound bc the second baby was a big surprise so we didnt know how far along I was and I needed a little time for it to sink in for me.
