IVF Awake?

Anyone Ever do an Egg Retrieval Awake? My clinic offers moderate sedation but you’re still awake. I hear you feel some discomfort but scared regardless? I have no experience and this would be my 1st. Wish I was being put under anesthesia 😂😅 Looking for similar experiences please ♥️

I was awake. It wasn't bad at all. It got a little uncomfortable but it was manageable. Took all of 8-10 minutes. Had my final retrevial count before we were even done.

My clinic doesn't do general anesthesia. My first one I remember very little and had no pain. My second one I asked to remain more awake and the anesthesiologist allowed me to and I remember everything. It was great, no pain.

My clinic only does sedation. I've had 3 collections now and have been quite comfortable and relaxed during all of them. You're awake but things are a bit fuzzy, it's not like you're lying there stone cold sober. You'll be fine :)

I’ve read people do moderate sedation and say it was extremely painful but everyone is different! They put me under with general anesthesia I was out for about 30 minutes, the procedure itself lasted 15 minutes! I didn’t feel a single thing and I’m so happy I didn’t because after I felt terrible! Lots of cramping and bloating.
