A very upset wee man

Needing some advice please, FTM here.

I have a one month old baby, formula fed. (PFA look how gorgeous he is 🤭)

He was on karicare and was initially alright on it for the first week and a half or so then started spitting up a lot like half of the bottle and was getting very uncomfortable with what I’m guessing was trapped wind. Causing him to spit up more. He has Rhuger multiple times each day, bed is elevated at the head end, burped throughout his feed and kept upright afterwards but nothing seems to help. Talked to midwife she suggested a change in formula, we changed to nurture original which seemed to make things even worse. Even after having 150mls he will still be crying acting hungry so offered more which he would drink then get even more upset and spit up huge amounts because he has over eaten. Talked to GP she said to change to a thickened formula so have now today switched to the nurture satisfied baby (used to be hungry baby I think). He is now screaming hysterically from when he wakes to when he goes down to sleep, legs are up to his chest and waving his arms around like he’s in a lot of pain, all he wants to do is drink and wants to continue drinking until he falls asleep basically even though he doesn’t need anymore and is already full. I’ve tried a dummy, it will help a little but I don’t want to have to shove one at him every time he finishes his bottle. Can changing his formulas have made him this uncomfortable and upset, do I go back to the original one or stick this one out for a week and see how it goes even though he’s so upset on it? It is breaking my heart only seeing him awake being hysterically upset especially because he never used to be like this only unsettled and very spewy/spilly. Just want to be able to see my wee man awake not so upset constantly every time. 😢 Thanks in advance. Xox
